Ipswich have signed a couple of players recently but none of them make me think they’ll stop Mick McCarthy getting the boot soon. Steven Taylor has joined on loan from Portland Timbers, he’s had more injuries than he’s had appearances in the last 2 years. Also, Diagouraga has signed from Leeds. The ex Brentford midfielder has played only a handful of times and will lack serious match practice. Preston have been an inconsistent team on the whole this season but will fancy their chances against Ipswich who have only managed 11 points from a possible 39 on the road. Preston have scored in 12 of their 14 home league games and if they can score 2 today then that should be enough for all 3 points, as Ipswich score a measly 0.69 goals per game when playing away from Portman Road.
