Portsmouth are a very good side at home and are unbeaten in their last 5 league games. They’ve lost 4 times at home but three of those losses have came against teams in the top 7, today they face Crewe who are 20th in the league and who were hammered 4-0 away from home against Hartlepool in their last game. Pompey still have a good chance of automatic promotion and this is a must win game for them.

Dover (5th) play Solihull (15th). Solihull haven’t won a single game against top half opposition this season and Dover will be licking their wounds after going down by a goal to nil against Woking last week. That was Dover’s first defeat in 5 games and they need to get back to winning ways quickly to keep up their promotion challenge. Dover have already defeated Solihull this season, running out 3-2 winners in the Midlands back in November.

Liverpool’s form against teams in the top half of the Premier League is terrific and with Arsenal poor on the road against sides in the top 7, I see Liverpool at least taking a point from this game. Only Swansea have been victorious at Anfield this season, Man City and Spurs have both been sent packing after being defeated and Liverpool have held Man Utd and Chelsea to draws. Arsenal on the other hand have struggled against those same sides when away from home. Defeats against Chelsea, Man City and Everton when playing away from home shows clear signs of a weak back bone, something that Wenger hasn’t addressed for years now. Liverpool will have most of the ball their movement will cause Arsenal all sorts of problems. Liverpool’s best form has came in the big games, I expect another big performance today.
